Eastport Port Authority

The Eastport Port Authority was established by an act of Maine State Legislature in 1977 providing Cargo Management, Harbor Operations, Cruise Ship & Bus Charter support.

In, 1981 the first shipment of kraft pulp from Georgia-Pacific Mill in Baileyville was loaded onto MV RAVENSWOOD bound for Scotland. To date, over 8 million metric tons of pulp has been exported through the Port of Eastport. Other cargoes have included logs, rolled paper, windmill blades, cattle, and various other project loads.
