The Eastport area enjoys a rich 100+ year tradition of arts and culture. Today, the Eastport arts scene is alive with music, theatre, art workshops, gallery shows, lectures, film, and more.

The Tides Museum & Institute of Art has a permanent collection of art and artifacts in addition to its rotating exhibits. In the summer, the Tides presents the Wednesday Music on the Rocks concert series, and visiting StudioWorks Artists in Residence share their art and creative processes with the community.   The Tides (Institute & Museum of Art) produces the regional cultural guide and events calendar: Artsipelago/CulturePass

The Eastport Arts Center hosts the new Harald Saeverud Music Program (HSMP), the long running Friday Concert Series, Quoddy Voices and Stage East theater productions.  The Sunday Series from January-April presents a wide range of interesting topics from music to history.  KinderArts offers year-round workshops for school-age kids and the Center presents arts and theater workshops for all ages.  EAC Films presents regular screenings of a range of films and the monthly Open Mic is always a hit.

The Eastport ArtFests return for 3 weekends with a full slate of interactive art experiences, live music, dance, puppetry, film and more. Fourth weekend of June:  DownEast Pride in Eastport and Lubec,  First Saturday in August: Mermaid Parade, and the Witches of Eastport is the last Saturday before Halloween.

Galleries and studios all along Water Street in Eastport and throughout Washington County welcome visitors to stop and appreciate the work by our many talented regional visual artists.
